However, I was able to update with drivers from Nvidia website, so it looks like my configuration registry database is fine. I checked Windows Updates, but it said I was up to date (I have 'Receive updates for other Microsoft products' on). Trying to update it from Device Manager ended with 'Windows could not find drivers for your device' (the window appeared as soon as I clicked 'Search automatically for updated driver software,' which was weird).
